Ideally I'd like a divided state gov't ( upstate Republican and NYC Democrat) , then we'd have a moderate state and no extremes. Both parties will destroy this state without checks and balances.
With that said, I'm really concerned about Cuomo being impeached . At least with Cuomo we have a Governor who said NY is open to Hunting and Fishing and he's done a lot for recreational fishermen . Who becomes the next Governor ? Will they side with PETA and the Environmental Extremists and end the artificial reef program ? They don't like those reefs , recreational fishing and hunting.
Those Sexual Abuse allegations are terrible and I'm not defending Cuomo , but what about the people who wanna take his seat ?
Keep the discussion about the future of the reef program and hunting and don't talk about politics. We don't wanna fight about politics .
If I crossed the line and violated NY anglers No Politics policy I'm sorry. I'm just thinking about future of fishing and hunting in NY.

It’s a sad trade off
The mans a killer and a serial pervert
And your concern is fishing

1st things 1st lock the bastard up
Then worry about who’s gonna replace him
Want better leaders make better voting choices
Vote liberals put

Yeah , when they defund fishing and hunting programs or outlaw hunting , we'll worry then and it'll be too late. Darn right I'm worried who comes next and it's foolish not to think about it because the other side is .

NY is a one party rule state now, One party has a Super Majority in Both the Assembly and Senate and who the next Governor is will determine if the radical agenda gets passed or not. With guns, they could pass a gun storage bill and you couldn't leave a gun in a car if you traveled upstate and went into a Walmart to shop. You wouldn't take the gun in the store and you couldn't leave it in the car, so you'd leave your guns home. They tried passing a Bill like this 3 or 4 years ago. I read the Lt. Gov. was endorsed by the NRA while running for a local race . She wouldn't be too bad if she took over and won reelection. The Radicals want Cuomo replaced with a Radical they like. Somebody like the NY Attorney General would be horrible for Sportsmen.
Look at Michigan and Pennsylvania , Republican Presidential Candidates almost never carry those states and Republicans control the Legislatures in both states . How is that possible ? Things would be good in NY if we had a divided gov't , Legislation would only pass with Bipartisan support .

yes ,,Trump too !!!!
An attempt at discussing the impact of fishing and hunting in NYS if the current governor leaves and/or removed from office quickly became infected by TDS. :) Hoping it can stay on track because it is a fishing site and that was an interesting concern with possible ramifications for the hunting and fishing community!

Understand what should be done legally to our governor. It will be interesting to see who has what information on who as the legal process moves along. We obviously have no control over that, but we may have some control over our fishing and hunting rights if we get involved early!

So now a political thread is OK?
As long as it blasts a democrat its OK???
So, your first jump into the tread and you are worried about politics? Anyway, your thoughts on a possible governor change and how it would affect the fishing and hunting community?
