And so it begins in earnest. Large scale wind projects in the North East!!

Europe wants to be 100% Elect cars in fifteen years ,,

Somebody who can do math calculated how many MW of new capacity would be required to meet that demand and it's astronomical. Like 6 GW of every three weeks. And that doesn't factor in distribution.

Again, utopian fantasies concocted by people who answer the question "Where does electricity come from?" By pointing at a wall receptacle.

So what are you saying the EU cant count LOL ..I think your missing the point or just blind ...They cant force people to replace their car's with elect ones..but the can work with car Mfg's to stop building them & only build elect cars..and I'm also ASS U ME ing that they feel it will take that long to build the network of charging stations across Europe ...

Yes, I'm saying the ideology is blinding these people to reality. But I suppose as long as we're saving the world it will just magically happen because we care so much?

I'm neither missing it nor blind. This whole thing is being concocted by advocates and politicians. Neither of which are of any practical use. And yes, they kind of can force it by, as you point out, eliminating choices. People who know better know you can't dictate markets for very long. There have also been numerous auto makers that weren't quick enough to give up their sensibilities and jump on the all-electric bandwagon that suddenly had to come out and apologize or reverse their positions. Why would they have to do that if they weren't being coerced?

At least in the U.S. and I wouldn't think Europe would be much different, we can't even maintain the existing infrastructure. And now all of a sudden we're going to magically double the capacity in fifteen years? It just flies in the face of reality.

Dictate markets going on for ever ..where have you been
If it keeps gasoline cheap I'm for it. I think solar would be more reliable than wind Power . The Town Of Hempstead burns all it's garbage at super high temps ( no Dioxins released into the air ) and generates electricity for 24,000 homes.
