Nope, Cellie has it right. The quickest way to ID a Vulture is the V shape of their wings when they're soaring... V is for Vulture, especially when you're trying to differentiate between a vulture and an eagle...

Been seriously concerned about small rodent control since I haven’t seen a fox in a long time. Having snow on the ground is a welcome night tool that replaces a game cam. We DO have a guard fox on duty!!

I don’t see them that often but when you do see them you take notice. Big beautiful birds.

Thats what caught my eye I see woodpeckers here all the time but this one was huge

Have them around here all the time. At one time we had 3 pairs nesting in different poplar trees. When you hear them call, you're realize that they were the muse for Woody Woodpecker. They love to peck at my bat box because it makes a great sound and they often are almost like an alarm clock, pecking away either in the morning or the evening.

Here's Woody at work on my bat box. But we warned, they too are subject to female domination. He wasn't at it too long before Mrs. Woody called him back to the next.
