I sure hope not. I'll tell you what I have the Marlin 3030 all ready to go.
Two weeks ago a bear attacked a pit bull about 1/8 of a mile from my place.
Tore the dog up.

Just so you folks don't think I'm smoking something here, here's a deer this AM I saw eating rockweed. I also 2 others dining on a rockweed breakfast today. Not strictly in my backyard, on the other side of the river down river just a bit...

This Is what all the Crazies were about in my yard today. A mockingbird tribe was going ni it fighting with any creature or beast that came anywhere near her little baby during his first flight. He did well, they are all settled down now.

when they get going here - it's like swarms - I've never seen so many - make all the trees & bushes along my back look like someone strung a couple of dozen strings of blinking, small white Christmas lights through them

Interesting "Nature Report" in the Backyard Waterway...

First, you often see eagles trying to steal fish away from other birds, especially ospreys, but the other morning there was a seal cavorting w/a small bass in his mouth and a bald eagle swooped down and tried to grab the fish!! Weak point of that plan is that seals can dive...

Second, this morning I saw a herring gull, not the more aggressive and bigger Black Back, try to hassle a flying osprey out of his alewife. That was a first too!!
