Blackfish Jigs and colors

Last few years I've been using snafu less and slider (a.k.a Belmar) rig more. Great rig to use with Hermits

Regarding Blackfish jigs, can you elaborate on this. Many mention the "correct hook". What are the things to look for?

When I snell my own hooks I use either Owner SSW cutting point 3/0 or Mustad Big Gun 3/0. As far as the "jigs" I have bought some from Tidal Tails or All American Tackle.

Mustad Big Gun 3/0. And I think my jigs are Tidal Tails.
