Had my first shot in December. Scheduled for my second next week. No side effects to report. Just a sore shoulder for a day.

Surprisingly, a good number of my colleagues are refusing the vaccine. These are educated people who work in very high risk areas. My guess is they feel they were exposed and already have antibodies. I got vaccinated because my antibody test came back negative.

Even with the vaccine, I will continue to follow all protocols as if I didnt.

Funny thing is, I went fishing the other day and wore my mask all day because it kept my face warm! lol

Making vaccines for a virus is NOT new science.

Not quite Joe. The two approved vaccines ARE new science, they are the first mRNA vaccines EVER, although the basic technology has been used for a decade or two in R&D.

The science is basic, but the manufacture is a bit of an art and a brave new world. I'm extremely concerned by folks saying, "Let's use up all the available doses NOW without holding any in reserve for a second dose." The scaling up of the manufacture of these vaccines is novel and may need new, custom made equipment. Right now, there is considerable doubt about the ability for extremely aggressive scale-ups.

Scale-up notwithstanding, we have very little data regarding any deviations from the clinical protocol used for these vaccines, so having to extend that 3 or 4 week, Pfizer or Moderna, further out we are entering unknown territory that could be one of no valid concern, but could also be a possible disaster, we just don't know.

Baby daddy picked up the daughter the day my niece got her positive results
Took daughter to his multi generational house hold
No other positives

my pals son got it and traveled back to moms and his brother
Again only the one positive

another young guys girl got it
neither live baby daddy Or baby got it

man that’s a lot of luck or something’s amiss

I find it odd that no one here sees any contradiction between party line and it’s the most contagious thing ever, and masks are imperative
