Okay so Di Blasio (Warren Wilhelm Jr.). Has a Excelsior pass mandate in effect next week. So tourism will be off entirely as you can’t get an excelsior pass if your from out of state ?. Blue men really are clueless. So 250,000 moved out already and now your about to see the city turn into Detroit.
Hopefully the traffic is like last year again.

“Shut up and submit” is now the favorite COVID cure of some of America’s leading progressives. Paul Krugman, a Nobel Prize winner and New York Times columnist, revealed on Tuesday that since freedom is a mirage, people have no good reason not to comply with endless government commands. Unfortunately, punitive panaceas are increasingly popular among both politicians and pundits.

Krugman breezily expunges years of Supreme Court rulings to remove any impediment to forcibly injecting a hundred million Americans with an experimental vaccine. Krugman explains that “when people on the right talk about ‘freedom’ what they actually mean is closer to ‘defense of privilege’—specifically the right of certain people (generally white male Christians) to do whatever they want.” Blacks and Hispanics have lower rates of COVID vaccinations than whites, but the freedom of minority groups is apparently irrelevant because some Trump supporters are anti-vax loudmouths.

Other progressive stalwarts have jumped on the Iron Fist bandwagon. Pundit Matthew Yglesias declared that people should either take $50 for getting vaccinated now “or else you get jabbed later while someone holds you down and you get $0.” Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus, who previously championed legal immunity for Bush administration torturers and sneered at Americans who complained about intrusive TSA searches, calls for mandating vaccines because it’s “time to stop coddling the reckless.” Maximizing misery is Marcus’s health prescription: “The more inconvenient we make life for the unvaccinated, the better our own lives will be.” Similarly, Harvard professor Joseph Allen, writing in the Washington Post on Tuesday, scoffed: “Why are so many people acting like this [vaccine mandate] is some kind of affront to our liberties?…We have a silver bullet that can end this crisis. Why are we afraid to pull the trigger?”

Krugman’s condemnation of other Americans hinges on the presumed omniscience of federal regulators. Krugman declares, “We now have highly effective vaccines freely available to every American who is at least 12 years old. There has been a lot of hype about ‘breakthrough’ infections associated with the Delta variant, but they remain rare.”

But not as rare as honest federal statistics. The CDC in May ceased keeping track of “breakthrough” infections unless they resulted in hospitalization or death. The Biden administration guaranteed that the vast majority of “breakthrough” infections would not be counted. Thus, Fauci and others could endlessly appear on television and derided any suggestion that they were occurring in serious numbers. The CDC pockets $8 billion a year in tax dollars but can’t be bothered to gather the data that would be the best guide to the efficacy of the vaccines.

After a COVID outbreak effecting more than 500 vaccinated individuals at Provincetown had spurred headlines in Massachusetts for almost a week, the CDC finally issued a report on July 29 belatedly conceding vaccines failed to prevent new infections. Hundreds of staffers at two San Francisco hospitals tested COVID positive last month, even though 75-80% had been vaccinated.

Abroad, the efficacy of vaccines is fading faster than the reliability of last season’s campaign promises. Germany just announced that it will start new injections due to “quickly subsiding immune response after a full COVID-19 vaccination in certain groups of people.” Half the new COVID cases in Israel were fully vaxxed & cases are “getting to severe and critical conditions.” In Singapore, “75 percent of new infections reportedly occur in people who are partially and fully vaccinated.” On Tuesday, the CDC warned Americans against traveling to Ireland because of “very high” COVID risks due to outbreaks – even though 67% of Irish have had at least one COVID vaccination.

On Tuesday, a front-page Washington Post headline hailed the success of the U.S. government effort: “U.S. Hits Biden’s Vaccine Goal Late.” The accompanying article included a progress update from the Biden White House’s COVID-19 Data Director, triumphally echoed across the American media landscape.

This is reminiscent of Stalin’s 1930 boast about being “dizzy with success” about the rapid forcible seizure of private farmland for Soviet collective farms. Unvaccinated Americans are the new Kulaks, endlessly vilified and blamed for being “wreckers” of the Biden salvation scheme. Soviet agriculture statistics shunted aside the far superior output of the remaining private farms. Similarly, Biden’s COVID policy ignores the natural immunity possessed by the 119 million Americans who have survived COVID, according to CDC statistics. Stalin’s collectivization drive resulted in a famine that killed up to 10 million people in the Ukraine and elsewhere in the Soviet Union. Hopefully we won’t see another parallel on that score: the New York Times covered up that 1930s catastrophe, publishing false reports claiming that there was no famine (and winning a Pulitzer in the bargain).

Do some progressives see COVID mandates as simply another chance to virtue signal? Ruth Marcus hailed D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for “having wisely reimposed a mask mandate in the city.” Bowser decreed a $1,000 fine for people violating her mask decree—which applies even to people waiting outside for a bus. The fact that Bowser was speedily caught violating her own edict is irrelevant to the sanctity of mask mandates. Marcus, like other herd journalists, may be totally clueless on the data showing that masks fail to prevent the spread of COVID, as AIER has repeatedly documented. But masks remain invaluable as a tool for the mathematically illiterate to demonstrate their devotion to “science and data.”

Freedom is rapidly being defined to connote whatever privileges remain after citizens submit to the latest decrees. New York City just decreed that vaccination passes will be required for citizens to go to restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues. In his press conference Tuesday, Mayor Bill deBlasio said: “And if you do get vaccinated, and you’re around fully vaccinated people, you still have more freedom than folks who are not vaccinated. So, it’s really strategic.” Did New York City voters realize at the last election that they were designating a czar who could impose unlimited restrictions on their movement throughout the Big Apple?

“In time, we hate that which we often fear,” William Shakespeare wrote four centuries ago. COVID policy nowadays seems driven more by rage and hatred than by facts which debunk official storylines. Twitter followers exalt Krugman for asserting “the rhetoric of freedom is actually about privilege.” Unfortunately, plenty of prominent poohbahs are enjoying the privilege of trying to destroy other Americans’ freedom.

Yup…. He took that Pharma money and owes them big time.

If Big Pharma is not happy then no one can be, the narrative had to change since they did not reach their goal of the percentage of people vaccinated in order to get their next under the table Government payment.

I cannot believe so many did not see this and fell for their bullshit.
I do understand the Flu shot is good for many but not necessarily needed or good for all.

Big Pharma runs the World.

True enough, and it was Google that threw in the statement, below the definition that they got from the OED because the OED website doesn't have that add on.

Bottom line, as always, a vaccine doesn't kill a virus or bacterium, it enables your body's defenses to do the job. If an injection kills a bug, it's a treatment, not a vaccine.

All that aside, why did you comment that the definition of a vaccine needs to change?

First it was the bankers and Rothschild clan...the folks in the 1920's didn't realize the creation of the Fed was the beginning of monetary slavery. Pretty much the same how many don't realize we are in the first decade of technocratic (tech companies) and healthcare slavery. On top of what the bankers have done over the last 75 years.

I understand the demographics on this site is what it is (age). And many are so fooled and scared...and now submit to total pharma tyranny.

You say you love your kids, and grand kids....I'm sure you do. But your pensions are bigger and fatter! Hope you take it with you. But you won't be able to.. cause it is all going to evaporate with Central Bank Digital Currencies and the Great Reset.

Collum is the Betty R. Miller Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell University and holds a PhD, Columbia University, MS, Columbia University, MA, Columbia University and BS, Cornell University.

The duo of Collum and podcast host Chris Irons first talked about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the chief medical advisor to the president, whom Collum referred to as a "pathological liar".

When asked about the FOIA request for Fauci's emails, Collum responded: "They were heavily redacted. One could only imagine what the redaction was. I got the feeling, reading the emails, Fauci was smart enough to know to not, himself, say anything. So Fauci didn't say incriminating things, it was emails to Fauci that were incriminating."

Collum also took exception with the state of the country locking down again. "This is where it just keeps getting darker," he said. "It started out as 'flatten the curve' and that made total sense...at the time it seemed like the scramble was to try and understand it, which I gave credit for them. It was really garbled because everything was 'Anti-Trump' at the time...but where I went off the rails is that it was looking like the pandemic was starting to subside and they weren't stopping."

He continued: "So now what I see, what is confounding to me, which takes me down really dark places. I see panic. Panic, authoritarian levels that we vaccinate. And it's Soviet style propaganda, it's coercion, it's bludgeoning."

Collum and Irons then discussed the lab leak theory, which Irons had ruminated about in-depth during a previous podcast days earlier.

"I'd call it a crime against humanity," Collum said while talking about on the possibility of a lab leak cover-up.

"It's interesting to look back now know what we know about Fauci's communication," host Chris Irons says. "It does look like a cover-up. What else are we going to find out? It's been 18 months and the idea of a lab leak has gone from 'completely batshit conspiracy theory' to 'this is the most common sense explanation'."

"It's not just that," Collum responds. "Serious biochemists have looked at the sequencing and said 'that does not make sense'."

"There's no ethical guidelines for some of the egomaniacs in science," Collum said.

The discussion then moves on to vaccines, where Collum is quick to point out non-sequiturs in the "official" narrative: "It's incoherent because they're saying if you get vaccinated you'll be protected and then they're saying the people who are not vaccinated are risking the other people who are vaccinated and I'm like 'which is it?'"

Because the type is misleading the sheep by having the word (immunity) in it.
Don’t matter how many get vaccinated. NEVER going away. This is not Polio, its a Flu and it was manufactured for a reason which I’m sure you’ll come around in time.

It DOES cause the development of immunity, as all vaccines do. Granted it's effectiveness varies by virtue of which variant it's tested against.

Everyone has to understand that COVID-19 is just about the only disease, along with flu, that is routinely tested with PCR, which can detect infection in asymptomatic patients. Strict testing regimes and protocols put in place for COVID has many "I feel great", vaccinated folks getting tested, people who would not normally get tested. Therefore with the Delta variant we're having many "breakthrough, asymptomatic infections".

Think about it, when was the last time you were tested with a PCR test for Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, RSV, Chickenpox, etc., even if there was an outbreak going on? The answer is never if you were vaccinated, so we really don't have a database of PCR-diagnosed asymptomatic infections for other diseases even close to the details of the COVID-19 dataset. Since no vaccine is 100% effective, and the "classic" vaccines were developed Pre-PCR, I'm guessing a rigorous study on these diseases would surprise folks.

And you might want to check out the vaccine labels per their FDA product enclosures. Here's a sample and they never imply that the vaccines directly act on the disease state. Y

I'm thinking folks reading about the old school vaccines that use attenuated virus will chit reading this, but hey, it's a demonstration about how the science has evolved. Look how we changed from childhood Chickenpox to its adult scourge of Shingles. Italicized and bolded additions done by me.

The PCR tests were never meant to be used in the fashion they are. With CT (amplification) being dialed up to 30, 35 40 CT, the only thing they find is DEAD viral load. Amplify anything up that high and one is bound to find something. Kari Mullis (sp) the inventor of the PCR test said as much. Even Fauci, said the exact SAME thing as above.

The CDC has informed labs and physicians to STOP using the PCR by December 2021. In favor of a new test out of Germany, the company that was recently purchased and funded by Bill Gates and George Soros.

The fake PCR results have been the mechanism to increase case count and scare a willingly blind and sheepish population.

Joining the hosts of This Week in Virology in July, Fauci directly responded to a question about COVID-19 testing, specifically how patients with positive tests might determine whether or not they are actually infectious and need to quarantine.

“What is now sort of evolving into a bit of a standard,” Fauci said, is that “if you get a cycle threshold of 35 or more … the chances of it being replication-confident are minuscule.”

“It’s very frustrating for the patients as well as for the physicians,” he continued, when “somebody comes in, and they repeat their PCR, and it’s like [a] 37 cycle threshold, but you almost never can culture virus from a 37 threshold cycle.”

So, I think if somebody does come in with 37, 38, even 36, you got to say, you know, it’s just dead nucleotides, period.”
