Smoking causes cancer and yet some smoke anyway.....a vaccine prevents severe illness and hospitalization and has not been proven to cause any widespread problem and the smokers say NOPE!!

I'm just going to point out that if you want to smoke and take your chances I'm 1000% good with that. But if you're going to do it in a space I need to occupy, then it's a problem. Just like secondhand smoke, secondhand virus is a problem. In which case it's the smoker, or the anti-precautioner (is that a thing?) that is forcing their will on others.

I'm just going to point out that if you want to smoke and take your chances I'm 1000% good with that. But if you're going to do it in a space I need to occupy, then it's a problem. when I was a kid the corner store in Pa
Never abided by the no shoes no shirt rule
All the kids went in that way
Most of the shops on the main drag abided
We got our snacks and pop at the corner store
Lunch’s too instead of Mc Donald’s on the main drag it was hogies from Nardys store
Even then we voted with our patronage
And none of the adults ever thought a thing about a shoe less kid in the store

Yeah, okay but I can see who's smoking around me.

And I'd be okay with letting businesses decide on smoking vs non. I'll vote with my dollars. OTOH, before govt intervention you rarely if ever saw no smoking venues. It was just divided by "section" and rather poorly divided I would add.

Maybe we need a vaxxed / unvaxxed section again.

I never smoked (anything, lol), definitely do not want to put up with that stink and haven't been to a bar in 20 years or more anyway. As for masks, being vaccinated we now avoid events and places that require them, at least as much as possible. If I get infected and don't know it, and then pass it to an unmasked unvaxx, I will feel little or no remorse unless that person had some sort of comorbidity like HBP, emphysema, etc., but I still feel it is up to those people during these times to protect themselves, wear masks, and order in from PeaPod, Walmart, Amazon etc.

I m no fan of smoking while someone’s eating but I’d gladly live with it to be able to once again have a cigar with coffee and a cocktail after diner , not have to go find a place to smoke after a meal
Not have friends need to leave the table after the meal just to smoke

I’m guess I’m just a happy sociable kinda guy

Not if I didn’t know that I was infected and they either chose not to get vaccinated and did not mask. Besides, I thought the deniers all say young people barely get more than the sniffles ? If a kid is asthmatic his parents should be a bit responsible, no ?

Funny part is in any case you would never know, you got the shots and can still spread it even though you dont know you you have it to me thats a huge chance to take at least those that have it know better to stay home

but I wouldn’t discount the fact that there is a large pool of smokers and will be for a long long time to come
And many of us lived in a time of smoking in cars
Bars , trains , planes and restaurant's
Lots of us were even boar by mothers that smoked
We lived to tell about it and would happily go back to it
