I've gone back to wearing the mask & sanitizing my hands when out & about.
 
I’ve been good about it too since the start
But I do have my doubts not about the effectiveness of hand sanitizer but about
The long term effects of our bodies absorbing so much of it so often
I can’t imagine that long term that’s not going to prove in someway detrimental

all you might be absorbing is the alcohol in the sanitizer - you probably consume more then that on your average day - stop being afraid of "ghosts"

Can the body absorb the alcohol in hand sanitiser gel through the skin? Alcohol can be absorbed through the skin. However, it's highly unlikely that hand sanitiser has a significant affect on your blood-alcohol level. Yes, although the quantities are normally quite small.

I don’t drink much at all
And last I checked we don’t consume isopropyl alcohol or any of the other chems in those things

By no means do I think things are fine and dandy but I don't think this country will survive another round of lockdowns and handouts so I do what I can.

Hope I'm wrong. I will gladly eat crow. But I truly hope I'm not right...........

yup, safe, fine and dandy. So long as my health insurance premiums don't go up because the unvaxxed all get sick, what do I care ? All my friends and family are vaccinated and will get boosters if deemed necessary by the medicos. Children of friends and family could/will get a case of the sniffles. The one asthmatic is unfortunately at risk but in a loving and VERY responsible home. And getting back to the other issue, I am definitely not a serial spreader. Hell, 90% of my fishing is alone on kayak or surfcasting. No one is within 100 yards of me hunting and we don't car pool. ShopRite every 10 days or so and I have been getting shipping free from Walmart, Amazon etc. by bundling purchases. Do I like living like this and not sharing my pool, new deck and patio this year. Well, no, but I do believe that eventually this pandemic will become like a flu, you either get a shot every now and then or you do what we did in 2020, and hopefully not forever.

All these smokers jack up the insurance rates and put a strain on medical services that affects us all. It's selfishness and lack of self control.....geezus remember when BLOOMY was going to ban 32oz big gulps and the outrage...who the feck drinks that anyway and why......self indulging feck everyone else I'll do what I want types!! They zig when they should zag!!

Unless you’ve had covid or been vaccinated ( almost everyone ) you may get it
And if you haven’t had it and don’t get this variant you’ll get the next more virulent many more maybe less deadly one or the one after that

Less than 0.001 percent of this population have suffered severe or fatal cases of COVID when they contracted it post-vaccination. Since the vaccine’s distribution, the agency has received reports of 7,525 patients with COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough infections who were hospitalized or died.

“Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected. COVID-19 vaccines are effective and are a critical tool to bring the pandemic under control. However, no vaccines are 100% effective at preventing illness in vaccinated people. There will be a small percentage of fully vaccinated people who still get sick, are hospitalized, or die from COVID-19,” the CDC wrote.

People aged 65 or older experienced the bulk, about 74 percent, of the reported severe breakthrough infections. About 21 percent of the approximately 1,500 people who died after contracting COVID after vaccination were reported as asymptomatic or not related to COVID, the CDC confirmed.
