Funny Corona story. Before they were the drink of Millennials and Snowflakes, I first saw them in battered, damaged boxes in the back corner of a liquor store near a predominately Mexican Immigrant IL suburb back when I lived in IL. They were dirt cheap and the drink of choice of the landscape crews and no, they didn't put any limes in them. It's amazing what a well-crafted advertising campaign can do.

Headline totally misleading, it should read "California Lab Says It's Discovered COVID-19 Protein Vaccine Candidates". NFW they could have a fully tested and characterized vaccine in 3 hrs. Armed with a sequence, a good Immunochemistry Team could come up with potential antigenic sequences and even get a few synthesized in 3 hours, but actually have "the vaccine" ready?

It's just hype to drive up their stock price and/or get Venture Capital funding and/or have a large Pharma company buy them out...
