Kinda makes you go hmmmm

Yeah I'm going hmmm also, where did you get this? It doesn't at all jibe with CDC numbers posted in the NY Times which stated the 5 year average for deaths in NYC were 3661 and from the CDC were 10,261. The 2019 number in this chart seems grossly inflated. I got those data from this NY Times article: U.S. Coronavirus Death Toll Is Far Higher Than Reported, C.D.C. Data Suggests and I posted a chart and a summary from it here: The COVID-19 Science and Medicine Question Thread

AAMOF, here's another article comparing 2019 to 2020 which bears that out. Deaths in New York City Are More Than Double the Usual Total

And here's another fact:

Sorry, but it sure seems whoever put that graph together twisted some data to get the 2019 numbers...

The graph Tony put up is State Wide for the time period referenced. (for all of NYS, which includes NYC, which your stats reference.)

It’s referenced on the bottom
I didn’t touch or manipulate it

I know you didn't Tony, I'd like to know who graphed the CDC/NY data. The reference on the bottom is only the source of where the data came from, not who graphed it and I cannot find any references to the non-COVID mortality data. Where did you find this graph?

My bad on NYC vs. NYS, but something is still rotten in Denmark and I'm trying to root that out. Everything published on a NYC level ticks and ties with past and current history, and the 2019 Statewide mortality is right on a rough guesstimate I made of 12,250 yearly from 2010 - 2014 NYS Department of Health data. I'd like to know exactly where the March - April 2020 non-COVID number came from, as I can't find it anywhere, especially since it's so out of whack with historical data...

But it does seem as if there’s nothing going on in the world and in hospitals in general but covid
I’ve even read some different articles on line that heart attack and stroke units are sitting idle as they have no patients, true not true ? Who knows

but the world is on covid tilt and it really better get its head on straight for everyone’s sake

Very good

but doesn’t change the fact the worlds gone covid crazy
And everything that is remotely , possibly or probably connected to covid is covid

89 year old with advanced heart issues dies and might have had it dies and oh no it’s covid

700 lbs can’t walk or breath one foot on the bannana the other in the grave doesn’t test positive but coughs twice
False negative it’s covid

News flash its not all covid

No conspiracy theory

I just walk around with my eyes open

you on the other hand can’t get your head out from between your butt cheeks

except to take that nice picture with your shinny hat
