If you crash into a tree while driving in excessive speed what is the cause of death?
A) The Tree
B) The Car
C) You
If you answered a or b then until you experience crashing into a tree and miraculously surviving. You’ll just never admit the answer is c.
Three more guys from the job got it while I was out. None got pneumonia as I did and are just counting the days to come back. Get it, get over it, and live.

Semantics. Will get the shots ASAP. I got vaccinations for smallpox, polio, diptheria, tetanus, shingles, pneumonia etc. , and probably more from the Army. Why? Because I don't want to get these diseases either.

Not irreverent, you all are fearful of the unknown. You will never admit until you’ve had it that it isn’t all that. Its a flu. If you run into a tree because of speed, it’s your fault. Not any amount of wordsmithing can change the facts.
I thought of you when I was sent these pics from a couple weeks ago. All 17-18. Responsible young men and women learning to fight for this country. Kyle was also responsible in defending himself against aggressors. So you know what the pics are.
How to throw a granade. How to expel teargas from clothing. How to shoot a M-4. How to use a gas mask in gas chamber full of tear gas. Then they tell you to take it off, that’s when the fun begins. They are adults mentally more then you know. They just can’t buy beer and cigarettes ?

I never got to recite the last four of my social before it totally got to me. The smart guys used a phony name like Pete Paws so they didn't inhale as much. That worked if we started in MOPP 4 lol. Otherwise our fatigues had nametags and it was a do-over.

You did better then me. First I was sweaty, didn’t think and no one warned it would be absorbed by your sweat. First breath was cut short and I was half coughing as I couldn’t inhale. Running out I was just short of flying I was flapping so hard. They recite the creed now. The kid got ten words in. They have professional photographers following each platoon through BT. Still waiting for a couple hundred photos to come in. Want to see the Forge.
Funny, two MRE’s a day and one hot meal. The MRE’s are $33 a piece on Amazon. They could get meals catered from Crack Barrel for less. He also had a Female DS. If I just could handle her voice I would compliment her. Drove me bonkers through graduation. If I was two years younger I would have went with him. More respect inside.
