that was WW2 - however that's not entirely true - they picked which statistic they wanted to use:supposedly more Americans died of it yesterday than our soldiers on D-Day in Normandy.
gotcha - the reason I replied the way I did is yesterday I had read a story claiming more deaths then the number of US forces that died as a result of WW2 which is you count them all - it not correctNo, the comparitive statistic was correct if indeed we believe the 3K of china virus deaths yesterday. Less than 3000 Americans died on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day (Utah and Omaha.) "Saving Private Ryan" makes some think that tens of thousands died at Omaha Beach alone. Where I erred was in not counting the paratrooper deaths in the southern part of Normandy province. My statement has nothing to do with the total casualties during the entire war.
Here is where I heard it: One-day US deaths top 3,000, more than D-Day or 9/11
290K (allegedly) from the china virus. we are getting to that war total... OTOH how many would have died from co-morbidities next month or next year without the chinese getting us this way ? The media and governments can spin this anyway they want but SARS, Avian Flu and this all seem to have a certain origin point. Sun Tsu would be so proud.
I had to look it up too , never heard the term in my life.@fortunately, if you had to look that one up, you ain't got one...
me either but Snoozeday and Dr Fauci have been using the term since the spring.
Actually when we were unable to find TP in the stores I ripped up 6 inch squares of Snoozeday, repeatedly balled them up and used that instead, saving the Scots for the bride. (I admit that I shied away from pages with colored ink, preferring the obits, tide tables, and some advertisements instead.) Having sewers here lessened that other concern.so they do serve a purpose after all?
