My decision was simple. 1. Did not want to catch it and die. 2. Did not want to get excluded from our scheduled cruise and flights for not having it.

Im not in the least bit going to get something injected into me that was rushed Id rather take my chances then worry about unknown side affects

The vaccine was expedited but not rushed. The Vaccine mechanism has been used before and Clinical trials were run according to FDA requirements.

Tens of millions of people have been vaccinated, ALL vaccines have been proven safe and effective (yes, even the J&J vaccine).

Not getting vaccinated is a choice but the person you infect (even within your household) will be effected by your CHOICE!

Most cases now are younger, "healthier" individuals. The risk is still real. Why anyone would take a chance with a virus that can RUIN you and your family's life is mind boggling..................but its your choice.

Sure you were you didnt want them to get shut down because the world needed chicken bu most other businesses were getting shut down............ and Low and behold the Virginia chicken plants had an out break of employees getting corona because people felt they should stay open "the right thing"

This is the real problem.... people being excluded for not having it.

where does that end?

next they will exclude people for not getting the flu shot every year, or for liking the color green or maybe for their religion.....dangerous.

What does that have to your comment saying its the right thing but in the beginning when places were getting shut down to do the right thing you wanted the chicken plants to stay open

Unfortunately, you're wrong on both bullet points Larry...

• Although it is rare, you may still get it. As of today, there is approximately a 0.02% breakthrough infection rate of folks who have been vaccinated, but got a symptomatic case of COVID-19. Obviously, there are probably more asymptomatic cases occurring.
  
  
• So since you can get the disease, you can spread it and potentially cause the death of someone else.
  
  
• The only thing that vaccine does it makes it extremely unlikely that you will get a case that will necessitate you going to the hospital, which means it can save your life.

HOWEVER, these facts in no way change the statement that it is the right thing to do. Without herd immunity, we're going to continue living in this nether world of masks, social distancing and restricted attendence.
