How many times does someone pass and you never knew they had this or that? Too often for me.

People aren't exactly an open book when it comes to their health. It's why we have HIPPA. It's private.

That is why I limited it to fifty. Family and friends. A few are overweight, a couple are diabetic, several have acid reflux, many are 65+ (but none of the oldsters got sick yet) etc. My allergist who I have mentioned in this thread was in terrible shape. The pool store owner who I also mentioned and died was the only real surprise.

I know plenty of people with under lying conditions that have had it and lived. That was the hype from the get go like all the other BS that was put out there

as a rule when I get sick I get sick
A cold is a weeks affair with clogged sinuses and usually taking up residence in my chest
A virus is worse

I can’t remember one time in 58 years I’ve had a drive by or 24 hour bug just doesnt happen

last week I got a headache , very low grade fever and scratch throat
Felt not great for 36 hours and had a fever for all of about 6 hours
Took 2 home covid test one right away
One 24 hours later
Both negative
Go figure

Same for me, that’s how my November 29 cold went into bronchitis that lasted all of December. But to get a scrip the PA had to give me the nasal swab test which was neg. But at 70 no regrets at all getting 3 shots (so far.). Going out to dinner with friends again friday and hunting with my buddy this Monday and the next one. Not hiding on my yak tony. Never been on a party boat but if that were my thing i would not have missed out. After all, I’m vaxxed lol.

Brother is sick, his wife was last week, she is vaxed and he is not, he got it from her.

I am interested to see if he recovers as quickly as her ( 4-days) or if he croaks.

I have not "hid" at all during the last two years. If I need something I go out & get it. I've been frequenting resturaunts every Friday night during the whole thing from the point they allowed them to reopen. I've spent a week of vacation in the Outer Banks with a house filled with family (20 of us).

Do I take some comon sense precautions? Of course. It is of little or no inconvenience to me to do so. Like pequa I too am at 70.

I've chosen to get vaxxed & boosted as has everyone in my family & all of my friends. None. I repeat - none have come down with it. Whether you choose to believe that or not - I really don't give a shit.

And I trust when you stated above "the sooner we all put wader and those that think like him in a box the better off we will all be" that you weren't wishing me or anyone else harm. For that would be a very big breach of TOS.
