Coronavirus

I think it is taxable, but that segment is explaining the cutoffs. If you made less than the $99k in the 2018 base year but more than $99k in 2020 when you file then you might have to give back money.

it was the closest I've been able to find to answering the taxable question that I I've seen...........

Sheesh, a long string of posts that can best be summed up as, "Never look a gift horse in the mouth." It gets taxed, so what? It's still better than a sharp stick in the eye. It doesn't get taxed, even better.

Seriously, if it's going to get taxed are you going to reject it????

Here's an article from today's NYT showing the "Love" being showered on NYC residents fleeing the city to their second homes. Think just about everyone up here want's Claymores and Concertina Wire set up on the I-95 bridge to NH...

Here's a snippet, entire article attached...

On Long Island, private plane and jet traffic increased at East Hampton Airport, with everything from single-engine Cessnas and Piper Cubs to Gulf Streams and Falcon jets landing.

“We’ve had helicopters, seaplanes, corporate planes,” said Jim Brundige, the airport director. “A little bit of everything.”

Stores there have also been stripped. Some people are even buying extra freezers, residents said.

“They want to make sure they have enough for a year,” said Jonathan Amaral, the house manager and chef at a gated estate on Southampton’s Main Street. “The shelves were bare. For us locals and middle class people, that hurts.”

Long before the virus struck, many full-time residents of towns that flood with seasonal visitors already had a healthy distrust of their part-time neighbors and the crowds that follow in their wake.

“Some people have bitter feelings toward weekenders,” said Honora Trimbell, of Bovina, N.Y., in the Catskills. “They’re just taking this opportunity to elaborate.”

My brother in-law owns a plumbing company. They got the contract to supply refrigeration for the make shift morgue in Manhattan. Here is a picture of his truck in the background. The government is expecting a major body count in the next few days and weeks. It’s not the flu!! This is from today.

Just be careful don’t read into it, I’m not from Onacock, I already know six people that have it and unfortunately they’re all from the Island. I already know of someone who passed away today at 38. Only health problem he had was he smoked. Caught it eight days ago.
