Doesn’t protect you from viruses

if that doesn’t make you shake your head

If after 2 months of nyc being open and maybe at best a 65/35 split in mask to no mask
If after weeks of close contact protesting in the the city with little use of mask except maybe to hide from cameras and
Not only no spike but a steady decline in numbers
If those things don’t make you scratch your head not only might u be an idiot

Simple Masks or Face/Nose covers ARE NOT MANDATED to protect the WEARER, they ARE MANDATED to protect those AROUND YOU!!!.

Not wearing any face cover is a blatant, "I don't give a chit about anybody!!

Nobody stopping anyone from wearing an N95 mask and the like, which protects the folks around you and you.

Confused what you're trying to prove. This are NOT data that are representative of what happens in a totally "wild" infection with no precautions like shutting things down, social distancing, mask use by folks who care, etc. Without control data, you can't make any statements. NY took precautions so there is no control here. We don't know if the precautions we good or not.

To my knowledge, the best you can do is to show an wild infection would be the data from Sweden where that pretty much let things run wild and compare those data to a neighboring Scandinavian country that took the normally accepted precautions. Right now, those apples to apples comparisons are not making the Swedes look very good...

But the point is

it doesn’t representa flattening
We’re dragging this out her in ny for no good reason

even after June 8th even after protest
Even with a large percentage of ppl not adhering to and protocols on distance or mask wearing
And I mean a large large percentage

we’re still seeing marked decline

not because of anything we’ve done but simply because we were late to the game and it simply ran its course

Once again I accidentally came on without being properly logged in and saw Tony's INCORRECT opinion
In NY we now have the ability to roam around more BECAUSE of the agressive approach our leader took and what we did initially
Its the other states such as FLA, TX, etc where its running its course and going rampant because of no leadership

You are looking at the wrong side of the coin/equation from my perspective

It has not been allowed to run wild, there was purposeful interdictions.

You can believe what you want, but from an epidemiological perspective, there were active actions taken by the very person that many vilified for doing it.
 
The difference in the death rate is amazing,why?
California- 8549
Florida- 6000
Texas-5000
NY - 32000
All have similar number of total cases..

So you feel NY wasn't "late to the game" ...... and that there were no cases of covid in NY until they started testing?
 
Joke of the Day - we get our temperatures taken every day as a requirement to enter the campus.
Mine was measured at 94.1 this morning, it was already 83 degrees out and I had max A/C blowing on my face for the 20 minute ride in.

Sometimes I think some of this stuff is to give us a false sense of security.
 
Please define "Late to the game?" Just what are you referring to when you say "Game?"

All I'm saying is that the data are not representative of an infection without any purposeful interdiction so you can't make a comment like, "These data are what the natural course of a COVID-19 epidemic look like."
