Firewood

I've been thinking about breaking in my new stove (Quadra Fire Discovery 1) at the new house. Was told by my old neighbor the new owners of my Farmingdale home threw out my Hearthstone stove I couldn't believe it. It was a great stove that heated the whole house. Just wait till they add up their oil bill this winter.

Tony - I've been tempted all day to fire 'er up...........

Really raw out there.

I have 2 chods inbound with a leftover 1/2 cord from last season.
What do you pay for cord these days?
$175 for that load that was dropped, it is without a doubt over a cord.

I stack it my self, they offer to stack it for $60 bucks but I like doing it and placing it where I want with help from my wife and friend. I dont even want them to help but they do and enjoy it also, its a great workout and takes about 2hrs to stack.

Well, I just got majorly "fired" up to gather as much wood as possible.
The oil I burn is primarily for hot water
last week I noticed my tank was down to about a 1/4
Figured I better order a delivery to get through winter.
That was Wednesday and i was told price was $4.72 a gallon but I pay the price on day of delivery, not day I order.
Delivery came today
$5.62 a gallon :mad::mad:
Total for 177 gallons was $1,000 and change.
Holy F'in Sh*T
The heat will not be on in my house unless its coming from the wood stove

a new neighbor a few houses down is having some trees dropped right now and I'm going to hook up the trailer and start hauling it back here
Nice and close LOL8-)
