So after a couple of brutally cold and windy days the tree crew came back to the house 4 doors down from me to finish what they started Monday
What can I tell you?
I couldn’t control myself
As I mentioned before, my name is chinacat and I’m a woodaholic
If I can unload this quick enough I can go get another load

Yep, but no worries cause the house they were being dropped at is less than 1000’ feet from my driveway

Trying to decide if I’m motivated to start splitting what I’ve gathered the past month
A wise man once told me:
Firewood warms you up 3 times
Once when you gather/collect it and haul it home
Again when you split and stack it
And again when you burn it

Consider a small insert with a blower and full glass door
Much more heat and no loss of heat being sucked out of the house
Full glass door gives you the same “ambience” and romance of a fireplace!!!

The glass doors fold open and close from left and right, whenever its very windy i keep them closed so i do not get blow back smoke while burning..

So should I start prepping the boat, getting fishing gear ready, or at least relax and chill on a Sunday? A neighbor texts me and says YO there’s a tree crew in the ‘hood dropping 5 oaks 1 block over from you.
Welp, only one thing for me to do so I hooked up the trailer and Im 2 loads in so far

The tree crew guys helped me load but I’m doing the unloading by myself slowly and strategically
2 loads so far and after the beer break Im on now I’ll try for 1 more load then reassess the back

MAJOR SURGERY set up.....................................

Rods, Pins, Screws - 3 to 5 in hospital, 5 to 7 acute rehabilition facility - 2 months for full (?) recovery.
Basically rebuilding my spine.
