Last I looked it was $4.06 in Seaford. Diesel had popped to $6.05. If these things didn't get crazy mileage it almost wouldn't pay.

Its actually cheaper in Hampton Bays than here
The new 7-11 on Montauk Highway is up to $4.29 but better than Mobil
Plus today is the 7th so I can save 50 cents if I go and wait on line today

Diesel today is $6.06

There are several reasons why diesel is more expensive than gas.

1. Higher federal taxes
2. Refining requirements are much stricter raising the processing cost.
3. Supply and demand……. demand is high

Of course I will post the inevitable prices decreases when they begin the descent. My prediction is that should begin to happen early November.

You have to get away from I-287 to get the better prices.
They gouge the folks that didn't plan ahead and ran low on fuel.
