Inspired by real events.
Belgian/Dutch so there are subtitles & dubbing which is kinda amusing. The subtitles & the dubbing don't alwagys match up.
They're saying the same thing but using different words from tinme to time.

Worth a watch.

The film follows a boy (Finn Little) who witnesses the murder of his father and goes on the run with a smokejumper (Angelina Jolie) in the Montana wilderness to escape a pair of assassins (Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen) hired to kill him.

Not bad. Somewhat mindless but keeps your attention.

All the Light We Can Not See - Limited Series

Increditable. If you have not watched it - you need to................



Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel, All the Light We Cannot See tells the story of Marie-Laure Leblanc (Aria Mia Loberti), a blind French girl taking refuge with her father and reclusive uncle in St. Malo, France and Werner (Louis Hofmann), a brilliant teenager enlisted by hitler’s regime with an expertise in radio repair. Together they share a secret connection that will become a beacon of light that leads them through the harrowing backdrop of WWII.

The twist is - she's blind operating a ham radio that is forbidden by the Nazi's & giving targeting information to the Allies for their bombing runs as the Nazi's try to hunt her down. It's about a lot more then that however.

Very well done. Probably one of the best series I've seen on Netflix in awhile. Tough to stop watching. It's that good.
Terrific story, excellent production values & some amazing acting by all.

Life on our Planet

Terrific doc-series produced & directed by Speilberg & narrated by Morgan Free. I've been watching this off & on inbetween other shows. Each episode takes you through a set period of time. Visually stunning as you would expect from Speilberg. Give it a whirl. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Firefly Lane

When I strated watching this I thought "Chick Flick" but at my brother & sister-in-law's urging I stuck with it. I'm REALLY glad I did. Based on a best selling novel of the same name.

Yeah. It's sorta a chick flick - at least it starts that way - but soon develops into much more. Hard to stop watching each night.
Getting very emotional toward the end of Season 2. There are only two despite its popularity. If you'll watch you'll find out why. To reveal it would throughly destroy watching it.

Worth the time.

The plot centers on an impoverished island community that experiences supernatural events after the arrival of a mysterious priest.

Limited Series. Happy about that.
