The Last Kingdow (4 season - fifth one coming)

Finished this series last night. Excellent. If you liked the History Channel Vikings - you're gonna love this.

Loose;y based on the historical record.
4 or 5 Kingdom in what constitues Modern Day England, Wales & Scotland (1 Kingdowm in Wales/the remaining ones in England). The Danes/Vikings have taken what is today Scotland & begin sweeping south toward the Kingdoms of England & Wales.

Story of those Kindoms banding together to stop the Danes but of course fighting with each other all the while. By the ed of Season 4 you see Modern day England & Wles rising from the ashes united as a singloe Kingdowm in each territory (hence the title).

Great story. Terrific acting, Outrageous sets. This has to cost a pretty penny to put on. As nuch as I enjoyed Vikings this pretty much blows it away.

Game of Thones meets The Vikings.

Plot[edit]​

The year is 866, and the Great Heathen Army's arrival in Britain is about to redefine the relationship between Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. Following establishment of Danish rule in Jórvík and East Anglia, the show largely focuses on the resistance of the Kingdom of Wessex to ongoing Viking incursions to Southern England. The story covers about 40–45 years by the end of season 4. Season 1 covers the years 866–878, season 2 from 878 to 886, season 3 from 893 to 900, and season 4 takes place about 901 to 912.

The main chacter (Uhtred) was captured by the Anglos (English) as a child & raised as one. Throughout the series he is in conflict wth his ancestory.

If historical dramas are your thing give it a whirl..

 
Unforgivable

Stellar acting by Sandra Bullock playing a released Murderess released from prison after serving a 20 year term. There's a plot twist aout 3/4's of the way in that you NEVER see coming.

Going in Style

Excellent film with an outstanding cast. In the The Kominsky Method genre. Old friends in their old age. Found myself smiling or outright laughing for most of the film.

If you're on a certain age I think you'll really like this.

 
Apparently the second half of season 4 will air ‘sometime’ after May 31st. This would make it eligible for the 2023 Emmy’s. The first half is eligible this year. Smart move by NetFlix.
