How Will "Shelter In Place" Impact Your Early Season Fishing Plans??

Fuel on the water maybe a problem .

That's why God Invented:

And this important accessory, my best friend. Sure beats trying to pour gas into a funnel...

I was also told by fire dept & DEC you must have boom on your boat to absorb any spills when you fuel at a fuel dock...

If this is correct, then how many people on LI actually fuel up their boats legally?? I'd hazard a guess it's damn close to Zippity Do Dah!!

Fairly certain some towns prohibit it.

What are you referring to, fueling on land or water or both?

Unless they distinguish fueling a boat on land from fueling a lawn mower, power washer, lawn tractor, etc., I'm highly skeptical of a law prohibiting fueling a boat on land.

Regardless, HTH would they enforce it??

cant say about B&T

I read this on the J&J sportsfshing website.

Both. But it would take a jealous neighbor calling Code Enforcement. Pretty sure I read somewhere last year or the year before that we were prohibited from using gas cans to refuel a boat in our driveway in this town. Regardless, I ignore stupid laws where no one is harmed and the chance of getting caught is slim lol. Going to shoot my air rifle in my tiny back yard later. That too is against the law.
