Hurricane Awareness

I was thinking the safest spot to get away from flooding would be rock hill golf course in Manorville which sits pretty high
On a good super clear day you can almost see all the way down the hill to the LI game farm

HURRICANE ERIN UPDATE - Based on my intricate scientific knowledge of weather forecasting being an Outer Banks photographer. I’ve went ahead and plotted exactly where Hurricane Erin may go so you can rest easy with being prepared for her/him/they’s possible landfall soon. We’ve ordered a box of sharpie’s in case we need to make last minute changes to this accurate forecasting model….

I've seen the spaghettimodels site. I think you've created a Hurricane Nightmares model:

So now its not going to be hitting NY as a CAT 2 or 3 storm? 🙏
If you've watched past hurricanes, almost all of them die out to no worse than a Cat 1 when they reach us. The sea water isn't warm enough to support a CAT 2 or 3. Hurricanes require a surface sea water temp of somewhere around 80 or better to develop that far. Right now, the water temp around Islip is 76.5. We might very well get a good storm out of this. But I can't see a CAT 2 or 3. And also don't forget, if it passes to the East of us, we're on the good side with much less storm surge.
