Sad but had to remove an old lilac bush today, it was huge and over growing a small tight area.

we always love the beautiful smell of the flowers every year but it became way too much maintenance and was growing into other easier plants , grass and house.

Our plan is to plant some hydrangeas in that area since we have many of them and find them to be easy to maintain since they can be pruned easier at ground level and we love the blooms.

Picked up a yard of top soil on Friday after work. Trying to level out some of the backyard. I have a company ripping up the front yard again (3rd time I'm doing this, since owning the house) two weeks ago they sprayed the front to kill the grass, then they will rip it all up,, fresh top spoil and reseed. The backyard I'm trying to do myself.
