The right seems to think if we enact some legislation that will just lead to all of our rights being taken away. It's getting so old.

Because when the left writes legislation it infringes on out civil rights. That's why. We can read a history book.

I give you NY's SAFE act as an example. A POS that I'm sure was waiting for just the right hysterical moment to be rammed up the citizen's @$$ with no debate. The end of representative government in NY.

The SAFE act does nothing but criminalize the regular gun owner and bans nothing of any significance. In fact a few months after it was enacted some guy bought a perfectly legal AR-15 under the law and shot up a hospital. Fine lot of good the law did. It was garbage enacted out of pure fear and ignorance, kind of like what is being proposed now.

Come on Cany. You and I both know that there is a lot of truth to what MTB is trying to say. Other than it being a right to own a gun can you give me an example of the "need" to own an AR? If you are going to say home defense there are a bunch of far superior weapons for home defense. I would rather have a hand gun or a shotgun with 00 buck in it. Yes i have shot a full auto weapon and it was a blast to shoot. But other than spending a bunch on ammo to do so I see no real reason to own one and I am a pro gun hunter.

It makes it illegal to own certain guns with certain features. None of which has anything to do with it's functionality. If you owned one before the law and you don't comply with all of it's ridiculous rules out of fear or ignorance it makes you a criminal when you were perfectly fine before. For no other reason than a bunch of arbitrary B.S. which is not how laws are supposed to be written. What's so hard to understand about that?
