NY Mets

Holy Sh*t! What a game. This team never gave up! Like Big Poppi says, they've got momentum!!

Here's my post from May 23:
"I can't watch them anymore. No lead is safe, they don't seem to care about add-on runs, and they seem to fall asleep after the 6th inning.
I can't believe Lindor or McNeil ever hit over .300 and does Pete ever get a late game clutch hit?
Uncle Steve promised that things would be different!"

I've never been happier to be wrong.

Here's my post back when:

Prediction...... Season over on June 1st.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse than having the Wilpons as owners, along comes Steve Cohen. No idea how to run a sports team!

How do you hire a manager with zero experience if you believe you are a playoff contender?

Now that Alonzo is injured, time to clean house......... again!
Sad Reactions:Matts and jpd

I was so, so wrong!!!!!!!

Forgettable game one but quick turnaround today with our ace on the mound.

Heavy NY sports day today:

Mets @4
Rangers @7
Yankees @7
Jets @8

I don't really care about the Yankees but I'll keep tabs while watching the Jets. Season on the line!

Wow, that was gruesome. What's with the fixation on letting Senga "figure it out" in the NLCS?

Should have started Petersen, but probably wouldn't have mattered if Mendy started Seaver if you can't hit the opposition pitcher's stuff.

Flush it and on to Game 2 - LFGM!

My new favorite "Baby Met!"

The kid's writing himself a nice fat check, that's for sure!

Too bad injuries shortened his career.

My favorite Met was always John Stearns but if things keep trending in a positive direction by spring training it just might be Lindor!!!

Four balls hit to the wall (2 by Lindor), no runs on the board. Second shutout of the series. Will they get up off the floor and perform a near-miracle or not? This ain't the Brewers or Phillies they're playing. Now they need to win 3 of the next four. Any other team I would say no. This team? A definite maybe.

Take it one game at a time. They win the next game and it's even. If Sevorino makes that play and turns two, it's a totally different game.

This team had the best record in baseball since June. There's still time to turn it around.
