NY Rangers

Completely manhandled and out played the last two periods of a do or die game. Florida gave us zero time and space and quite frankly NY did not fight for it either. Unreal how soft this team became, meanwhile FL imposed their will on every play, every loose puck. Tip my cap to them, the better team won.

Igor was still superb. Made amazing saves up to the very end. In the 6 games, he might've had 2 soft-ish goals but they would've been swept without his stellar play.

Shame that Fox was limited. Panarin was a non factor as Fl kept him in check and to the outside. Trouba became a turnstile
penalty machine. Still a lot to like about this team, but without a doubt a few parts need to get upgraded and tougher.

I guess I can start watching baseball now.

My inside sources who have some connections to the team say Fox is in need of knee surgery, Lindgren has 2 broken ribs, and Panarin has a fractured wrist.

According to Vegas, the president's cup winners are now expected to be the 7th best team next season(12-1)

Oilers are favored to win.

It's been a very quiet off-season thus far which I find surprising considering how exposed we were by the Panthers.

it’s scary.

WTF is going on with this team?

Got rid of a couple of malcontents but still, from Presidents cup to this?

They play scared. Let in bad goals. Alot of mistakes......... hard to watch right now. Plenty of time to turn things around but I'm not encouraged.

Team is still soft throughout most of the line up.
The are letting their talent dictate play, and it shows. Little heart and hustle, little fight for the puck.
Zib looks disinterested, Fox is coasting. Panarin still plays on the outside, even though he puts up points. They are playing an outside game and still trying for the pretty play. Sure, be creative, but every now and then we need a dirty goal, and those are coming from the kids who look good. Even the PP has been stagnant with better looks from the 2nd line.
Not a big fan of moving Kakko for not much at all. He had talent and youth, just never made the big impact, but he never had a steady line either. Now if Kakko was part of a package for Tkachuk up in Ottawa, then I'm all in. That is they type of player this team has been sorely lacking for a while. They had it somewhat in Goodrow and Trouba, but not a that elite agitating level.
While it is a "good" time to have a slump, that time is quickly running out. I don't see this team competing like last year, hope I'm wrong.

Shesterkin gives up another 4 goals as the Rangers lose again. Fall 3 games under .500

They don't turn this around heads are gonna start rolling.

Lets hope that horrible slide is behind them and they can focus on staying well above .500 and the playoffs.

Splitting Krieder and Zib has helped, even though Mika is still pretty snake bit. You can tell he is squeezing the stick and opting to pass first because his confidence is gone. Hope it comes back at the right time.

Huge contributions from 3rd and 4th lines in this last stretch that started during the losing streak. Edstrom is a very good player and uses his size well. He seems like a very smart player, with soft hands and surprising speed for his size. Nice to see these guys get on the scoring sheet and make a difference in the games. It seems to take the pressure off 1/2 lines, as they are the main focus of defense, and they aren't exactly lighting the lamp with consistency like before. IF Rempe can stay away from fighting and boarding penalties, he can be a good player.

The defense has looked better also, and when there is the lapse, Igor has been great. Last 3 games giving up only 1 goal that went off a skate.

Adam Fox looks like he is back to being that Leetch like crafty smooth skating keep the puck away PPQB smart player.
Miller is hot and cold, sometimes looks great, sometimes looks down. He has a huge upside, but his inconsistent play is tough to swallow.

I don't know if we are out of the woods yet, but I am cautiously optimistic.

Lets Go Rangers.
