Well WhatKnot got let off the hook.
Halfway through the game and I'm already not looking forward to Game 7. The Panarin line is cycling and got one but I said what the hell happened to CK line, they are invisible as we heading to the 2nd intermission.
Finally they started to control play, and keep the puck in the Canes' zone. Anderson is not a great goalie and he showed it with that bad goal along the post. A soft penalty against Stall (maybe a make up for Skjei) and tie game on the PP. When Krieder scored the go ahead on a great play from Lindy, I said we better win this and not waste the natural Hat trick.
I could feel my heart beating through my chest in the last five minutes.
Side note, was up in Pleasantville on wednesday for my daughters honors college ceremonies, and went to dinner at local restaurant Chatterbox, when in walks NYR legend Stephane Matteau and sat down at the table next to us. I gave him a knowing nod but left him and his party alone. As we got up to leave, I quickly asked him how do we look for game 6, and he gave me smile and said no worries.
I'm figuring we will play Florida next, no easy task. They are fast, very physical, can score a ton and have very good goaltending...I cant see the beat up Bruins beating them.
Man I love playoff hockey!
