Been a busy beaver this winter. Picked up a used ‘03 HPDI that had some electrical gremlins. My port side ‘01 had a bad cylinder. So I stripped the ‘03 and swapped everything over from the ‘01. A few hiccups along the way but she fired right up and sounds good. Time for a serious clean and then sea trial.

My new one from last year, it sat for 2 years before I brought her so she needed lots of work before taking her out. I did several shake down runs last year and I still need to replace the water jacket gasket in one of the engines, repair a trim leak in one of the engines and repair a power steering leak.

It's great that you were able to observe the process at several stages of the build. Before I bought the Albin, I did visit the factory in RI and got a full tour from the plant manager to make sure I was comfortable with the methods and materials. Very informative.

Actually, my first choice when I moved up from my second Grady was going to be a Steiger. I also visited their facility and was very impressed. But my wife said she wanted more "creature comforts" and the ability to take our boat on summer vacations. Whenever the wife says she wants a bigger boat do not hesitate to break out the checkbook!!!

My latest sled, 28’ Albin 28’ TE. She just underwent some rather over the top maintenance work, and now she undergoing new electronics installation. That will change her profile slightly with new Garmin radar, and Sionyx Night Vision. A couple of other changes to her profile that are in her future would be a raft, riggers, and different configuration for multiple additional rod holders in rocket launchers, as well as gunnel mounted.

I can remember when the word boat meant B.O.A.T………… break out another $1,000. Today it’s…………. Break out another $10,000

Thank you. Beautiful boat you have. That was my first choice, a white hull flush deck but couldn’t find a nice one. They seem to be very far and few in-between.

Hard to find for several good reasons. Unless I win Lotto, I will never part with this hull.
I have no doubt you will love the Albin's performance as you have a chance to start running her consistently.
