Snow Blowers

Check those snow blower keys just saying
Forgot to tell you yesterday, during my prep of the blower I realized I had a flat tire
When I first tried adding air, it wouldn’t hold because it became unseated from the rim
I had to take the tire off put it on the workbench and reseat it while adding air
Luckily it worked

Point being, don’t overlook tires as part of your routine maintenance and check up

BTW, pics of yours (when it thaws out) or it didn't happen.

@aven
Sounds like a single stage setup. My other machine is a single stage also, but it looks more like an auger than a drum.

To encourage classic snowblower conversation I'll point out something ironic. REO was bought by Wheel Horse Products. They were known for yard tractors, but obviously were interested in expanding. This machine is from a transition period before it all got labeled Wheel Horse.

At this point they were manufacturing Tecumseh engines under license. If they installed an engine manufactured by Tecumseh the engine would be painted black instead of red.

The ironic part is that Wheel Horse eventually became TORO, which is what I bought to replace the REO.

Or at least supplement it. 😉
@Avenger its pretty much done but you get the idea

So i was having major issues with my blower last year. I brought it to the local shop back in August to have them do a full look over. Got a call today.

Not worth fixing . Axles and wheels are shot. Cant remove any of them so he'd have to order a whole new axle and wheels. Auger is shot, explains why I had issues last season on top of needing belts and scrape plates etc.
