45 years later and sadly it still holds true:(

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role for the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their power minds,
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah

Brainwashed - George Harrison
Terrific offering from George - his last.
Somewhat dark.
Very Self-reflecting as he was dying from terminal lung cancer all during the recording & writing over a two year period. He actually died prior to having a finished product. Was eventually lovingly finished & produced by his son Dhani Harrison & his good friend Jeff Lynne from ELO.
Thanks George & RIP.

Oh Lord, won't you listen in to me now
Oh Love, I got to get me back to you somehow
I never knew that life was loaded
I'd only hung around birds and bees

I never knew that things exploded
I only found it out when I was down upon my knees

Looking for my life, looking for my life
Oh boy, you've no idea what I've been through

Oh Lord, I feel so stuck that I can't get to you
Had no idea that I was heading
Toward a state of emergency
I had no fear where I was treading
I only found it out when I was down upon my knees

Looking for my life
Caught up on me with intensity
Had no idea where I was heading
I only found it out when I was down upon my knees
Looking for my life, looking for my life

Oh boys you've no idea what I've been through
Oh Lord, I got to get back…

Gazed at the ceiling from below
A splendid Michelangelo
Filled my heart with delight
Last Saturday night

Arrived believing from home
Climbed every step inside St. Peter's Dome
Claustrophobic and ex-Catholic
Last Saturday night

Now how come nobody really noticed
Puff of white smoke knocked me out
The truth is hiding, lurking, banking
Things they do at night

It's quite suspicious to say the least
Even mentioned it to my local priest
One Our Father, three Hail Marys
Each Saturday night

I wish somebody would tell me
That it's only a show
And I'll confess, own up, let's face it
In my concrete tuxedo

I appreciate the Beatles but they Sucked compared to what was made in , before and after that era. Music that blossomed all around them Was not promoted properly since they had such a huge corrupt marketing deal in the U.S.
Beatles were the recording Darlings that were pushed at the time. Pretty much like a boy band of the 90’s.

Much better music was being made at same time that eventually got the same exposure.\\

I also think Harrison was best in the bunch ( no pun intended) - and went on to make so much better music without the others.

I have eagles Vinyl playing right now.
