Good game
St Johns gave it all they could but UConn is just better all around
An overall successful season and great turnaround after being down and out a few weeks when I and many others ciunted them out
Be interesting to see what seeding they get in the big tournament. There is nobody out there that is going to want to have play them. I could easily see them winning a game or 2 and making the sweet 16.

Hopefully Ricky is watching Hurley and UConn celebrate and party winning the Big East championship on the floor of Storrs South aka MSG

Hurley still trails "Ricky" in the BE championship dept......but you knew that being the astute UConn fan that you are.

More like Hurley watching in awe as "Ricky" takes his 6th team to the tournament.......oh, by The way, he's the only coach to do that

I'm actually concerned. There were upsets yesterday especially Houston and UNC losing. I think SJU is not getting selected....

Some people could argue that taking 6 different teams to the dance is a flaw and not an attribute
It reinforces the concept he’s more interested in his personal legacy than loyalty to any one school and also suggests he wears out his welcome in many places
Hurley is 4-0 head to head since last march so I don’t think the “awe” of Ricky is much of a factor

Regardless of what my thoughts are on Pitino, I am actually hoping St Johns makes the cut and gets a spot in the dance
A few of my sons friends from school are current students there and 1 actually plays Sax in the pep band

Only 3 teams in the tournament is a head scratcher to me

Direct result of all the upsets in conference tournaments.

I still would like an explanation as to why Providence is out. They had alot of big wins this season.

Glad they nixed the NIT. Its become a joke of a consolation prize.

That said, I'm pulling for UConn to repeat. I talk smack but they're a hell of a talented and well coached team.

The “smack” is all in good fun
As good as Uconn is, repeating is going to be very tough
Considering they were dubbed the overall #1, they have as tough a path as anybody to get to the final four
The #2 in the bracket Iowa State could easily have gotten a 1 seed over UNC
Auburn is tough
A potential game 2 matchup on Sunday at Barclays against FAU could be brutal
Also our bracket has 3 out 4 of last years Final Four

On Monday, you give a speech to your team about sacrifice and putting the team ahead of yourself. Then Wednesday, you quit the team because it suits your personal interests.

Looks like the Johnies have been having a pretty good off season of recruits and filling holes from the transfer portal
They lost some good pieces but things are looking good for them right now
It will be very interesting to see how they mesh together and play as a team
