The Outpost

True Story
Dragged for the 1st half. The whole second half was the battle. Which was intense as hell. Made me wonder how anyone could come back to a normal civilized civilian life after experiencing something like that.
Trying to be another 13 Hours in Benghazi but didn't really make it.

Worth the $2 from Redbox if you can't find anything else.

If you haven't seen it there is a series of 8 episodes on Netflix called I believe, "Medal of Honor." True reenacted stories of awardees from The Big One, Vietnam, Korea and Afghanistan to include a terrific episode of just this event. I can not believe my better half watched it first but it was VERY well done.

I'll have to check it out.

Meanwhile having binged Broadchurch, then Hinterland, then Marcella we started watching Dead To Me. For those of you that watched it, does it improve after the first episode ? Granted I like sex and violence but this Dead To Me thing just didn't grab me for a first episode...

yes - I liked it quite a bit - give it a few episodes - there are a lot of plot twists & things aren't what they seem as the story continues

Saturday night me, my wife, and son watched It'a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World again
Refreshing that my 16yr old boy appreciates such a classic?
Its amazing how many stars were in it
No way a movie today could afford to have than many peps in it
We laugh our asses off every time we see it....???

I haven't seen that movie in decades but I too enjoy movies with so many stars. How the West was Won, Longest Day, A Bridge to Far, Midway (1976 version) seem to be some of the other last ones but in just a few years many will probably say the same of the current onslaught of the superhero movies, Avenger series and of course Pulp Fiction and Crash come to mind. Heat and the campy Expendables series as well although the latter is mostly has beens. (Yes, I obviously like acion movies.)

"Ava" from Redbox. I like Jessica Chastain but for me she didn't really pull off this role.
2.5 maybe 3 stars out of 5, John Malkovich is always enjoyable though.

gotta look for that - like Malkovich - did you ever see the film "On Being John Malkovich".

One of the weirdest, funny & entertaining movies I've seen.
