Going to Suffolk county department of consumer affairs to renew my home improvement license just another left stealing county license. I don’t to home improvement but I have to have a license to work in Suffolk county thieving bastards
So I go this morning, and they say since my license expired I have to redo all my paperwork, get information from my insurance company and have everything notarized. I ask how much?
The two nasty attitude ladies behind the counter say in sink - $.200 for the application and $500 for the license ???????????

Why do you need a home improvement license for your work?

Look at the bright side Mike. If you get that "Old Field Cottage" gig, you could probably make that a well-paying, full-time job...

I always wanted to retire and be a caretaker on a small estate
Hey, there are a few of those around Maine too so you can be closer to the coming grandchild. Kennebunkport, Cape Elizabeth and Mount Desert Island come to mind, along with island jobs near Portland. Unlike LI, the owners here will be gone most of the year...

I have a friend who did that gig on Fisher's Island for a dozen years or so, loved it! Also have another friend who did it in Tuxedo Park for a while...
