Well lookie here - if I'm reading this right - Virginia Ranked # 7 in the Best to Worse Category.........................

Ok ........ add me to list. I'll be retiring to Pungoteague, VA . Hopefully in 2 or 3 years. Found a home about a 15 minute drive south of Onancock. Put the last piece of the puzzle together today. Closing will take place next week as early as Tuesday. Was able to check off about 90% of the items on my must have list. More important, I was able to check off every one of the warden's items. Had to be a ranch, needed some neighbors nearby. Needed to be close to restaurants, shopping, and medical. And number one on the list for her, everything had to be complete and in place. Its good to go for me with a dock, two boat lifts and an additional boat garage 30' x 36'.

Congrats! We're down in Onancock too. We're doing the Bay Day cleanup tomorrow. We looked at our property today and the suryevor staked out the lots. Next step is clearing the land in the fall.

You started a renewed Yankee invasion of the eastern shore ! You brought snow the likes of which haven't been seen there before. You are responsible for the invasion by the Brits. Did I leave anything out ?

It's a buyers market right now ...... waterfront homes starting as low as 200k. You can pick up a canal front lot for as low as the mid 60's . We came in just over 300k . Cost of living was a huge factor in the decision to want to move there. The new hospital that was built in Onancock was also a factor in choosing the area. Plus my life long dream of having a dock in my back yard.
