The Onancock Chronicles the Eastern shore

I can remotely raise the temperature in the house which I am hoping would raise the temp in the garage somewhat. I haven't had the need to try that yet.

Smart in keeping house @ 55 °F. I have friends here who used to keep houses at 50 °F during the winter and that is just a bit to close to the edge in terms of room temp variation from the thermostat(s). Yeah, it costs more, but could certainly end up costing a LOT less...

Do you have a lot of plumbing in the garage, e.g. pump itself, expansion tank, etc in garage or are they in a covered pit below the garage?

I said well pump before .... I meant expansion tank. So against the wall of the house, raised up on a platform, is the hot water heater (which is off), the expansion tank, and water filtration set-up. All cpvc piping.

Dumb question: CPVC = PEX? My place PEX except baseboard heat lines, immediate boiler in/outs, immediate hot water in/outs. Everything else PEX including radiant heat immediately beyond boiler area.

The entire place is plumbed with white cpvc. House was built 2001.
