The stock market

  • Chart 3 shows the expansion in M2 money Supply: Inflation is the expansion of the money supply (USD being printed out of thin air with no backing) Inflation reduces the value of the USD in real terms (meaning how far a $ goes)
  • Chart 1 is what the Dow Jones looks like technically over time. The Green arrows are major events.
  • Chart 2 is the true value of the Dow Jones (Green circles correspond to arrows in Chart 1) when factoring in Chart 3 (M2) the expansion of the money supply, which is Inflationary.

All the gains we think we have, when accounting for Inflation, is false. Now take into account Capital Gains we all pay, and Income taxes on dividends, and you can get the picture how F'ed the system is.

The Dow and other equity classes are actually below the 1999 Dot Com bubble in real terms (In 1999 dollars), even after all the "printing" and expansion of the money supply over the last 10 years.
