the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

Fixed the boat cooler. This fits perfectly under the leaning post and tackle center. Width is perfect too.

Watching the Brit & his boys putting in a new waterline from the street......
(y)

I've had a problem with my water pressure now for awhile & it's been getting worse. Town came & checked it out - everything was fine to the property line. To be on the safe side they also installed a new water meter. They dug up the front a few feet to take a look @ the existing pipe & it was a galvanize pipe.

Probably the original one from when the Public Water became available. Possibly 80 years ago.

I don't know when public water became available here - there is evidence of an old well in the backyard. Original part of the house dates to late 1890's. Newer sections 1920's.

so...................

should be completed tomorrow - Town Water Guy came over after a call to him & started to help without being asked - pressure tested what the Brit was doing - all ok - even mentioned that it was over built (Brit has a tendency to do that) - then the Town Manager dropped by to offer any help he could - asked me how it was going - I told him we found a body but not to worry we reburied it - all in all - a very productive day - 100 feet of new waterline installed up to the house - last 20 feet & inside hook-up will be completed tomorrow - guess being on the Planning Commission has it's benefits as the Town jumped in to help at no cost to me

And I'm getting all done for like $800 if that.

The interior of the pipe we removed held all sorts of gunk in it - probably choked off half of the inside diameter..............
