In my earlier life I was a painting contractor so I'm just sitting here rolling my eyes...
Not sure which emoji that is

When doing doing coats its all the same. White on white, green on green, blue on blue... its all the same
Start at one end and keep going in a pattern til you get to the other end.
Thats the only way to know you got it all.
Cross rolling is another trick.
1st go east west, then cross back north south over the same area....

I'm just a regular "Joe- Average-Home-Owner".
Without intending to - I probably performed most of your "magic tricks" above & still notice missed spots when it all dries.

Ceilings are probably about the only surface I repaint the same color & having a ceiling paint that goes on pink & dries white would be a great help.

I try to avoid a second coat by basically applying it at the same time I'm applying the first coat. It's worked for 20-30 years or so.

Without intending to - I probably performed most of your "magic tricks" above & still notice missed spots when it all dries.

Ceilings are probably about the only surface I repaint the same color & having a ceiling paint that goes on pink & dries white would be a great help.
