I always felt that while Michelins produce the best ride, they don't last long.

For treadlife and cost, I like Continental. Better value IMHO.

I have always used Continental Ameristars on my Grand Marquis's. 60,000 mile tire that always got 50+ 000. Last time i couldn't get them and switched to Coopers. while they are doing good they won't make it to 50,000. Michelin,s on my MH that will make 30 to 35,000. To me All season tires are a farse. You have summer road tires and winter tires. Winter tires are a little more aggressive and are studded. One thing to look and ask for is the MFG date. You would be surprised how many Old tires are sold.

Your tire's Tire Identification Number (TIN) The first two numbers identify the week, and the last two numbers identify the year of manufacture. Thus, a TIN ending with "3815" indicates that the tire was made during the 38th week of 2015 and would appear as DOTXXXXXXX3815 on the sidewall of the tire.

I always check the MF date on car batteries but never thought to check tires.

gotta get new threads tomorrow, 2 days ago i removed the plastic valve caps wanting to save them as extras…

this morning had a a flat in one tire, leaning to the valve being the reason.

after tightening the valve pin, refilling to 35psi and a check for nails, it turned out to be the valve stem was loose…

never thought the plastic valve caps did double duty… cellie…

Ok lets make it simple you got new tires on your car then you post that you checked the valves with your handy dandy tire valve tool and WAA LAA your new valves were so loose that you tires should of been flat what part of that dont you get?

monday: removed all (4) plastic caps from old tires…

wednesday morn: noticed one tire flat, ( suspected loose valve pin or nails )

refill to 35psi, check tire for nails, glass, etc.,. 100% clean… retighten valve pin ( seem slightly loose )

thursday: tire holding full @ 35psi…

friday morning: tire holding full @ 35psi…

friday afternoon: all (4) tires replaced @ BJ’s…

sunday 12:00 noon, retighten 3 turns with valve pin tool on all four tires , installed plastic cap…
