Whats going on in the World

I stopped drinking organic milk. I had to draw the line at $8!

Things are great as MTB said. Another big rate hike by the Fed all but guarantees the banks will give 1% interest on savings!!

not great for everything...but very strange how some things are booming. There is a guy and his brother I hired to put gutters and downspouts on 5 six dwelling buildings here today who I asked how's business? He said he is busier than ever in his 20 years doing this. You can get an 18 month CD AT 2.50% FORM CAPITOL ONE if that is what you are looking for ?? safety....yeah yeah I know inflation is higher blah blah blah

THERE SAVINGS IS ALREADY 1%

When the fed is reducing rates and doing tightening to lower inflation they are actually orchestrating a recession...they are trying for a soft landing of course

the market is up 4 days in a row...but I'm not betting it continues up...or down for that matter. I'm waiting for a high odds trade. If commodities keep going down and say the war ended....well "happy days are here again"

WOW
Tennessee says its OK to discriminate against anybody who's not christian
Unbelievable. Taxpayer dollars can be used to support one religion and shut out another

Reading comprehension. The lawsuit was dismissed because the plaintiff actually "RECIEVED the services they claimed were previously denied."

The majority concluded that the couple's legal claims were moot, as they were able to complete the programs and receive certification through DCS months after being rejected by Holston.

"Because the Couple has received the very services they claim they were previously denied, the Panel Majority adopts the Defendants' analysis and concludes that any issue related to denial of services is not capable of the prospective relief the Plaintiffs seek and is now moot," read the panel majority opinion.

The majority ruled that the couple's complaint about the Holston Home for Children was inapplicable because they originally planned to foster a child in Florida, while Holston only handles in-state arrangements.

And we wonder why headlines are just that....click bait for the mindless

My reading comprehension is just fine and Im NOT mindless LOL ???
The fact is they were DENIED access to training that was provided by a taxpayer funded operation

My mind is actually quite advanced to comprehend that THAT is the main point of the story. They had to search out and find training elsewhere. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

LOL. Because they originally planned to foster a child in another state! Florida. Not Tennesse. It's a TN state program for TN residents that plan to foster kids in TN....not Idaho or Montana or Florida. etc...

When they decided to foster in TN...they received the training from DCS.

The majority ruled that the couple's complaint about the Holston Home for Children was inapplicable because they originally planned to foster a child in Florida, while Holston only handles in-state arrangements.

"The contract the Department has with Holston … provides funds only for services for children' in the custody of the State of Tennessee.' Thus the services the Couple sought from Holston are not funded by the Department and therefore lack a causal connection to the alleged injury," continued the majority.

Geesh... You just proved the point.

Well if they are TN residents, and paid TN taxes, and the church is funding a program with those TN taxpayer $$$'s, don't they have a right to participate in that program and benefit from the TN tax dollars that they contributed to??

For sure. If they were going to Foster in TN. Each gov program has rules as to whom may benefit and receive services. Just the way these things are set up.

Elsewhere, a grocer in the Bronx told The Post he has instructed his staff to face off with thieves in groups as large as a half-dozen.

“We avoid one-on-one confrontations,” the Bronx grocer told The Post, asking that his stores not be specifically identified. “When they see that there are numbers involved — five or six employees — they usually leave us and rob the Rite Aid down the street.”

That’s what you get when you don’t prosecute criminals.

I don’t get why these stores even keep operating in these areas. If they leave maybe the elected officials will get the point. No tax revenue.
