Not a fan at all of Mandani, how ever with that said, I wish him luck in bringing the cost of some tickets to sporting events back to a price that families can afford.
They can go and see WNBA games!

Have you ever been to a Yankee game?

The average cost for a family of four to attend a New York Yankees home game is around $350 to over $800, depending heavily on ticket location and food/drink spending, with some estimates putting the ballpark figure near $355-$375 for basic expenses and others suggesting families could easily spend over $800 on a big night out. Expect higher costs for better seats or popular games, while cheaper options exist for weekday games or nosebleed seats.
Cost Breakdown Factors:
Example Estimates:
- Tickets: Prices vary significantly; you might find lower-end tickets in the $30-$90 range per person, but better seats quickly jump to $100+ each, with some analyses showing median ticket prices around $105.
- Food & Drinks: Concessions are expensive at Yankee Stadium, adding substantially to the total cost.
- Merchandise: Souvenirs add to the overall expense.
- Game Day: Weekend games and matchups against rivals (like the Red Sox) cost more than weekday games.
- Lower End: A budget-conscious family might spend around $350-$400 for tickets and basic concessions on a weekday game.
- Higher End: A more typical family outing, including better seats and some food, often pushes costs to $375-$450+, with potentially over $800 for premium experiences or big spending.
Indirectly, but it’s all about the bottom line, profits, it’s the NY market, football, baseball, all priced out of the working mans budget.Maybe there is a correlation with the Yankees always having one of the highest payrolls in baseball?
These are the people that Democrats elect nowadays...

Exactly. Smoke and mirrors.Yet, somehow people buy the tickets and go to the games. How is that possible?
Any of you guys ever had season tickets for anything more than a MAGA rally?
NY football, and baseball to a somewhat lessor extent is after the corporate market, and season tickets are now marketed in packages which includes much more than just a seat. It’s all about money, money, money.
And if you guys think that tickets prices are within the budget of the average blue collar middle class working man you are sadly mistaken.
I never said that, nor suggested it.You've made a great argument for socialism. Force the players to take less money so that people can afford to go watch them play.![]()

Baseball, and apple pie, it doesn’t get more American than that, especially for kids.
When I was growing up you could get baseball tickets off a milk cartons. You could meet the players, and they would sign autographs for you. You looked up to them they were your hero’s.
I was fortunate having personally known some of the greatest Yankee players of all time, and as a youngster was coached by Whitey Ford when I pitched for CYO Baseball.
Your average family can’t afford to spend a day at the ballpark anymore and I hope Mandami can help to change that. NY sports team are making money hand over fist.
That’s exactly what you said. To suit you better.I never said that, nor suggested it.

I believe Dellwood Milk did that too.Yep, I remember the Dairylea milk cartons too.
Perhaps one day you will learn to think outside the box, and put together a coherent sentence too. That’s exactly what you said. To suit you better.

There are many different ways to get ticket prices lower for the average working stiff, and their families without the players, or the owners losing a dime.
