I enjoy Rabe inda cooler months,; Swiss Chard is mild with an earthy flavor by itself... chopped tomatoes tossed in adds a sweetness, as I like sun dried tomatoes more so, really nice...

cooking tip, I like to separate the white stems first, chopped, washed and start the cooking, ( stems cooked same time as green may absorb some green color that turns black, and not as tender as da green leaves )...

chop & wash ya leaves, add to stems, add garlic, olive oil, S&P, simmer for a few minutes... red pepper flakes too....

The first time I made meatballs for a dinner party, the first dozen where the size of a golf ball after that they progressed to the size of a Spaldeen. Frying them is a PITA. Tried baking them; not the same. Now I just buy them from a good Italian Deli. I know, shame on me.
