I would have to trust my sense of smell by the 4th day. I mean when in doubt throw it out. If you do use it I would cook it well done. Meat sauce, lasagna, tacos, meatloaf, etc. But, again... I would have to smell it myself for me to say it was safe to eat. Obviously I can’t do that over the phone sir. So why don’t you bring it in and I’ll check it out for ya.
Yes, when it comes to ground beef I treat itlike I do chicken. If I don’t use it that day or the next I freeze it. Regardless of what use or freeze by date is on it. I’d rather thaw it out then chance it going bad and not know it is when cooking.
Now, unless you and I want our rump roasts to be on the menu tonite with the General carving them up. We better move this to a different thread!!?
