Coronavirus

Never fear. Can’t get it now anyway. Can you say that? Might test positive but won’t get sick. B4 the vaccine i just masked and washed hands. Haven’t bothered with any of that unless some store required it since March
Never fear you sure? you masked and washed hands while you stayed home like most people who got the shot I worked with the public thru the whole thing

If I catch COVID after I've been vaccinated, is it less dangerous?

There is some evidence that vaccination may make illness less severe in people who get vaccinated but still get sick, according to the CDC. Some fully-vaccinated people may still be hospitalized and die, but fully-vaccinated people are much less likely to do either than people with similar risk factors who are not vaccinated.

Glad I can look death in the face and laugh at him.
Seems more like you looked at stupidity in the mirror and he laughed at you!

Take a chill Rick. This isn't a competition to see who has a bigger..........The ultimate goal is herd immunity and apparently this virus keeps mutating which is preventing that from happening. So far, our cases have lagged behind Europe's especially the UK. If you've been paying attention, indication is it's going to be an interesting fall around here.

If fear is brushing my teeth to avoid dental issues, or stretching before I go for a run, I guess wearing a mask and washing my hands was done out of fear. I was "the public" and never stopped going to stores, car dealerships lol, kayaking, boating, fishing, hunting, shooting at the range, etc.

a rant like that may be due to the willful taking of drugs....far out there

the great reset?? ROFLMFAO!!!

Who you kidding if you hit the floor you’d be breaking your finger on the life alert button pleading for them to disregard all the crap you said while prank calling them.

Dr. Brytney Cobia said Monday that all but one of her COVID patients in Alabama did not receive the vaccine. The vaccinated patient, she said, just needed a little oxygen and is expected to fully recover. Some of the others are dying.

“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections,” wrote Cobia, a hospitalist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, in an emotional Facebook post Sunday. “One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”

Three COVID-19 vaccines have been widely available in Alabama for months now, yet the state is last in the nation in vaccination rate, with only 33.7 percent of the population fully vaccinated. COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations are surging yet again due to the more contagious Delta variant of the virus and Alabama’s low vaccination rate.

For the first year and a half of the pandemic, Cobia and hundreds of other Alabama physicians caring for critically ill COVID-19 patients worked themselves to the bone trying to save as many as possible.

“Back in 2020 and early 2021, when the vaccine wasn’t available, it was just tragedy after tragedy after tragedy,” Cobia told AL.com this week. “You know, so many people that did all the right things, and yet still came in, and were critically ill and died.”

In the United States, COVID is now a pandemic of the unvaccinated, according to the head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In Alabama, state officials report 94% of COVID hospital patients and 96% of Alabamians who have died of COVID since April were not fully vaccinated.

“A few days later when I call time of death,” continued Cobia on Facebook, “I hug their family members and I tell them the best way to honor their loved one is to go get vaccinated and encourage everyone they know to do the same.”

“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”

More than 11,400 Alabamians have died of COVID so far, but midway through 2021, caring for COVID patients is a different story than it was in the beginning. Cobia said it’s different mentally and emotionally to care for someone who could have prevented their disease but chose not to.

“You kind of go into it thinking, ‘Okay, I’m not going to feel bad for this person, because they make their own choice,’” Cobia said. “But then you actually see them, you see them face to face, and it really changes your whole perspective, because they’re still just a person that thinks that they made the best decision that they could with the information that they have, and all the misinformation that’s out there.

“And now all you really see is their fear and their regret. And even though I may walk into the room thinking, ‘Okay, this is your fault, you did this to yourself,’ when I leave the room, I just see a person that’s really suffering, and that is so regretful for the choice that they made.”

Nothing political about not getting a shot the FDA has not approved. The political part is getting it cause someone other then the FDA told you to.

Think hard. Our side spit it out real quick for your side to take ?“Giggity”.

You see MTB our side doesn’t make decisions out of compassion.
We make logical decisions using science. It’s simply is not safe until every study is done and big pharm doesn’t have immunity.

Wait let me add why would anyone get a vaccine for the Wuhan Spike Protein that’s long gone already?

Get the shot. Don’t get the shot.
Wear a mask. Don’t wear a mask.
I could care less.

The only thing that bugs me is this. The left and the media (pretty much the same thing these days) need to realize a large amount of people who vote their way are not getting the shot either due to religious reasons, cultural reasons, or some other set of beliefs they hold near and dear. It’s not just people on the right not getting it. You’ll obviously never hear or see that on any of the big media channels because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Ask yourself this. If everyone in the urban areas of NYC were all aboard why would they keep spending millions of dollars to advertise to these people to get the shot?

Trying to stay away from politics which frankly is impossible but Snoozeday had stats by zip of who got vaccinated. Two communities who probably did not vote for a certain incumbent and have few “conservatives” and low percentages of high school grads had very low rates of vax yet had access.

Shocking...

FDA approval wouldn't change things for the anti vax morons. They are psychotic and will just come up with some other nonsense......just like there are no atheists in foxholes...there are no DIS-BELIEVERS in covid death beds...BUT BUT BUT IT'S A HOAX?

But really isn’t it natural to regret something after the fact
Over eating as you take a heart attack
Smoking after the diagnosis
Laying in the sun after the spot appears

just stop with the fear mongering
