This is the behind the scenes updates to the site thread.

Something is funky when posting a reply with a quote ...... it ends up in the middle of the thread instead of "most recent post" ?

If you post in the middle of a thread it shows up at the bottom, but there may still be a page of posts after that. It only shows that way to you, and if you click on the next page, or close the page and come back to it, it will show in the correct order.

ok - still don't like not being able to tell new posts within a thread - old system was a lot better - bold - you didn't read it - non bold you did - I'm not going to every post to see if I've read what's posted - I'll just give up

is there something I'm missing that tells you that?

Now some may call me a complainer (shut up you) but it would help if the board title (i.e. Fish Angler) showed up at the bottom of threads rather then the top. You're generally reading the last post & you have to scroll all the way to the top to get back into that board.

Wader- bookmarks are the same as favorites. They don't aid in navigating WITHIN a website. they aid in clicking on the bookmark or favorite to enter the desired website at a particular point or forum, i.e., "fishing reports", instead of "new posts." I, using Google Chrome, just have my "bookmark" for nyangler.com set at the websites homepage.
If I wanted to set up a second point of entry for say "new posts", I would click on "what's new" or "new posts" and then go to the top right on my screen and hover my mouse over a star (on my screen anyway) and the instruction "bookmark this page" comes up. Clicking on that will create another bookmark for nyangler.com and allow a point of entry to the page you are presently on.
You can have innumerable points of entry for a single website. On the dying nor'east I had one bookmark for "fishing reports", and another for "discussion boards."

Wow, what was wrong with the last software version and settings that we had? I do think that it was superior to this new format, for all the above reasons . . .

I tried that and it didn't work ..... postings are still out of order.

Give it time guys Im guessing things still need too be "tweeked". George made this decision for the better its all gonna work out as planned

Ok General, we know state of art technology isn’t easy to make navigable for some of us (me) ? I’m lovin’ the new site and can’t wait to start posting LIS fishing reports. Thank you NYAngler.com

I stand corrected. I'm seeing it now too. Another forum I belong to also uses XenForo and when you make a new post it will put your post on the bottom of a page even if it's not the last page. However it does get them in the correct order when you look at the next page or take a fresh look at it. I thought that's what we were seeing here.

GM thread all bolluxed up, things out of order and missing. I posted some primo poonamy early this AM and it’s AWOL.
