The Onancock Chronicles the Eastern shore

That would be me. My wife and I bought some property 10 plus years ago knowing this is where we wanted to retire. It reminds of of what the north fork on LI used to like back in the day. Retirement is now a reality and we're meeting a builder next month. We are probably going to go with a custom modular. We have made a number of friends over the years and come down regularly for events such as the Bay Day cleanup or the Kayak Challenge Race. We decided against waterfront and will be very content with a few acres of woods. We are looking forward to a quiet simple life. Nice to be on board in the forum. Tony

Welcome aboard Tony.............

And two Dalers. Where in Farmingdale?

I spent my formative years growing up in Farmingdale - ages 6 through about 17 or so - Lockwood Avenue - near Motor Parkway/Avenue (don't think it was Parkway but can't think of what it was - too long ago - you know - where Liberty used to be?)

Went to Saint Killian's grades 2 through 8 & sang in the Choir.

get that out of your head...........................

Second one in a year??

I'm quite sure you both have just as many rabid animals running around as we do - difference is - you don't hear about them.

There's not a lot to report down here - sooooooooooo - rabid animals give them something to do.

BTW - what's your level of crime there Glenn?

Yes, we got 'em and yes we hear about them on the evening news. However, we, the Donald and I, just don't think they're newsworthy enough to share, along with the local beekeeper meetings, which we have, or cheesemaking classes, etc, because that's what small town living is all about...

Sounds like a fun place when a scary raccoon is the biggest news..................

And I have no clue

I'm just putting it up there as an example of Small Town Life for those not exposed to it..........

After all - this is the Onancock Chronicles thread is it not?
