If a business believes it is essential, but is not listed above, it may request being added to an exempt list. Any single-employee business, like gas stations, are exempt automatically, and do not need to request an exemption.

Even if a business is deemed essential, it is still requested that all employees engage in social distancing.

While houses of worship were not ordered to be closed, but it was strongly suggested by the state that no congregant services be held and social distancing maintained.

If you listen to bill deblassio you will be convinced its the end of the world.

He does not have the ability to speak rationally.

Its almost like he is trying to cause panic.

Asshole.

Luckily I do not have to listen to him at all. Counting friends in Staten Island and a visit to the Bronx Zoo and the Coney Island Aquarium, I have crossed into Deblahziostan maybe two or three times a year since 2011. I have to get a map out when venturing west of the Meadowbrook Parkway !

Roccus, (and maybe Chinacat),
AFAIK, SW Suffolk and SE Nassau County have had no toilet paper and no sanitizers, not even aloe or alcohol in any grocery stores or pharmacies for at least 10 days. Haven't seen paper towels or even Cheerios lately either. Was it different out east and "up there?" (Until the citidiots got there?) Friends think I am joking but I have been letting wife and son use the Scots and for the most "part", I have been using Newsday. https://www.ehow.com/how_8610665_turn-newspaper-toilet-paper.html

Best I could tell there was a drain on local resources before they got here and once they did get here, it just got way worse.
Hopefully the supply chain will catch up but most supermarkets etc were not prepared to have enough stock on hand for summer volume. The local Stop and Shop in Hampton Bays got hit hard but we haven't been there in a week so I'm not sure if its OK or not.

these companies should not only be applauded - but - supported

Shore Daily News:

The Eastern Shore Health District announced that another resident of the Eastern Shore has tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This case, a male in his 60s, marks the second known case in the Eastern Shore Health District. He was a travel companion of the first identified case. The Eastern Shore Health District is currently conducting a thorough investigation of the case and any potential exposures.

So I go to see my lawyer to have docs filled last week only to find out that the office is now closed due to someone that tested positive. With everyone nervous to say the least, I haven't mentioned it. I took all precautions while there, you know doing the elbow thing instead of a handshake, and kept my distance.

It was over a week ago and I feel just fine. I have no plans on getting tested would you?

No. The “tester” could be asymptomatic

From everything I'm seeing unless you are a politician, sports star, or some other prominent figure you can't get tested just because you want to or was near somebody that has it.
It appears you have to have the symptom's before they will even consider testing you.

Let's hope all is OK George.
