that's so you have something to work under in inclement weather?

Yes ...... when we get the snow in march. Plus, coupled with the oversize wood stove, it will should keep the temp a little higher making it easier to work with the epoxy. I finished up at dark tonite. I'll have more pictures soon.

heat from the garage threw me a bit - then I noticed it's backed up to the garage door - guess you can open that & vent it into the canopy thingy?

Thanks ...... I'm easy on the throttle and like babying my outboards. I'm hoping to run at a nice easy cruise with the tach at
4200 - 4600 rpms.

Those older Privateers are built to last ..... A tug and a barge smacked her at the dock one night and put a crack in her midship near the gunnel , around the rub rail , never got around to fixing the crack and it has't grown a bit in over 20 years .......
My 21 footer was built late 80's .. I replaced the original deck about 5 years ago , and the transom is still hanging tough .......
Real easy to get up on plane , at one time I had a 90 on the back and it was no problem getting her to flatten out swiftly ...
Currently have a 130 E on the back , plenty of get up and go .... Nice solid heavy hull , can be wet , but which 21 foot is always dry ?
You picked a good hull for a project , looking forward to your progress .............

Got my Privateer from Evans Boatyard on the Eastern Shore , took her for a test ride on the Chessy , hit a small chop and I was sold ......... Over 26 years ago ....... Trailers and outboards have come and gone , the hull remains solid ........

I bought a brand new 24' hull in 1987 (same hull as I just bought) . Port of Egypt marine took me for a test ride on the Peconic when there was a tight chop. Same reaction as you. It was 17k with cabin. I picked up (2) 110 hp commercial Evinrudes from Grover Marine and rigged the boat the way I wanted it. I'll see if I can dig up some old photo's.
